CITYWEST
4x4 Club places a
high level of importance on safety for all of its activities. In
support of this we offer opportunities to gain learn how to safely
drive a 4WD vehicle off-road and a range of other associated
outdoor, camping and leadership skills.
Courses
currently offered to members of the club include:-
DRIVER
TRAINING
Basic
Driver Training
Each
course is divided into two components; a theory session and
practical driver instruction. The theory session is generally
held on a Thursday evening at Four Wheel Drive Victoria in North
Balwyn and the practical driver instruction is usually held at the
Melbourne Off-Road Training Ground in Werribee on either Saturday
or Sunday. Some Theory session will be held in Melton where
sufficient participants have registered.
Cost: $110.00 for
club members (Cost to the public is $220.00)

Advanced
Driver Training
Participants must have
completed the Basic Driver Training and had some prior
experience.
Cost: $295.00 for
2 days training.

FIRST
AID
Saturday
19th August – First Aid Course Level II
A Level
II First Aid course is currently being planned for Saturday 18th
August. This is a one day course but to prepare for it you
will be provided with a first aid manual and a workbook which has
to be completed before the start of the course. The course
will provided by Swinburne University of
Technology .
A CPR
Refresher will also be held on the same day for those who have a
current Level II Certificate.
Costs: Level II -
$150.00 (A subsidy is available to CITYWEST Trip Leaders who
register for this course)
CPR
Refresher only - $20.00
Bookings are
essential – and need to be made
before Friday 3rd August to enable sufficient
time to for study of the workbook prior to the course. Please
